This is an 'AppDir' for use mostly with the ROX-Filer. But it can be used with other file managers or desktops as well. If you are running the legacy version of ROX-Filer-1.2.2.x then copy or change the name of the file AppInfo.xml.ROX1 to simply: AppInfo.xml For later versions of ROX-Filer, copy or change the name of the file AppInfo.xml.ROX2 to simply: AppInfo.xml Then move or copy the src2pkg-dnd AppDir to your $HOME directory or anyplace you keep other AppDirs. To use the src2pkg-dnd AppDir, simply drop any source tarball you want to build on the AppDir. By default, this will create a new src2pkg build script for the tarball named: $NAME.src2pkg.auto Now, dropping the new script on the AppDir will cause the sources to be built and packaged. When you first run src2pkg-dnd it will create default configuration files under your normal ROX-Filer CHOICES path (~/CHOICES/src2pkg-dnd). These defaults can be changed by editing the config files. Read the notes at the top of the src2pkg-dnd file for hints on how to change the bahaviour of src2pkg-dnd
