this has EasyOS 2.5.2 built with 4.19.161 kernel. Configured for x86_64 PCs. It is also configured with some Chromebook support enabled. This is not an official release, though you could treat it as one if you want. The purpose is for testers to write it to a USB-stick and see if it boots, and does sound, video, work OK. It will boot on PCs with traditional BIOS or UEFI-firmware -- in the latter case, secure-boot should be turned off. Appreciate if you can boot it on whatever hardware you have, in particular old PCs, and even Chromebooks, and report back success or fail. If you get a kernel panic, would you mind taking a photo of the screen, and email it. The primary purpose is to test different kernels on a wide range of hardware. We have had some reports of kernel panic with the recent 5.4.x kernels on old hardware. In this case, 4.19.161 kernel, we are hoping this will be very compatible with old hardware, and does the Chromebook support not compromise booting on PCs nor operation of video, sound and network.
