Downloads: SME Server is available to download as an ISO CD image. Please download the CD image at your closest mirror site:

Current Version:
7.0 (Current release) - Status: Stable release. SME Server Release 7.0 is our current version. All SME Server users should upgrade to this release. Please report any bugs on the bug tracker found on the left menu. This release is based on CentOS 4

Legacy Versions:
These SME Server versions are no longer supported or under development. Only security updates are released for these versions, and all updates for these releases, including security updates, will cease in the near future. All SME Server users should upgrade to SME Server 7.
6.5RC1 - Status: Security updates only. This release was a stepping stone to Release 7 and is no longer under development. This release is based on Redhat 7.3.
6.0.1 - Status: Security updates only. This was the first community release of the SME Server. This release is based on Redhat 7.3.

Updates: SME Server 6.x Updates - Maintenance and security updates are available for SME6. Follow the instructions on this page to configure your server to receive the updates.

Upgrading to 7.0 from 6.x - Upgrades from unmodified versions of SME 6.0.1 and 6.5RC1 to SME 7 will be supported. If you have modified your server by installing contribs or have used any unsupported "upgrade" scripts, you may have issues and should consider removing any incompatible contribs before upgrading.
